Southwick is a residential community in the western part of the state with a 2010 population of 9,502 according to the U.S. Bureau of the Census. (February 2018) The Library has a new Assistant Library Director the former Young Adult Librarian (YA) after the previous Assistant Director retired. A new YA librarian has been selected and has started in the position.
(January 26, 2018) The Friends of the Southwick Public Library in 2018 is celebrating it's 25th anniversity as an organization. It is also time to renew membership in the group. Membership Forms are available at the circulation desk at the Library. Information is also available on Facebook.
(January 9, 2018) The event reported in the January 2018 Library Links for January 30 at 7:00 p.m. with Judge Posner will be held on Wednesday January 31 at 7:00 p.m. Sorry for the error as shown in the paper edition of Library Links.
(January 3, 2018) The Town of Southwick is soliciting a vendor to repaint and recarpet parts of the Southwick Public Library. Share this information with appropriate vendors. For more information click here.

October 12, 2017) The library is open regular hours during construction on Route 57 (Feeding Hills Road) and the road is open. Reminder the Fall Craft Fair will be held on Saturday October 14 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The event is free to the public with more than 30 exhibitors and the 4-H expected. There will be light refreshments availble for purchase. Funds will be used to benefit the library.
(September 25, 2017) The Friends Fall Craft Fair on Saturday October 14, 2017 will be held at Town Hall 454 College Highway. The event has more than 30 vendors both inside the building (on two floors) as well as vendors outside on the lawn. (August 17, 2017) The Library is maintaining regular hours during the Feeding Hills Road construction. The parking lot is available for public use. Please visit the Library to meet your reading and other needs.
